Experts in survival and outdoor living, Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall, collaborated with ESEE Knives to design this model. Avispa features a modified blade and, of course, a handle inspired by the well-known Ontario Rat 1. The ergonomic handle provides comfortable grip even during extended use. The handle scales are made of orange FRN material (nylon reinforced with glass fibers). The blade is made of AUS 8 stainless steel with a stonewash finish. The knife is reliably secured in the open position with a frame lock. The four-position pocket clip allows for versatile carry options. The knife also has a lanyard hole.
