Razors

Shaving as such probably spread from ancient Egypt, the metal tool, a kind of razor's predecessor, comes from Egypt. The Egyptians loved a clean-shaven whole head, including the chin. The razor as such appeared much later, at the end of the 17th century in England. The closing shaving tool has survived to the present day, even though it was almost doomed to extinction. The way we shave we still remember with our grandfathers is gaining in popularity, and after years the younger generation is returning to it.

Such shaving requires longer time and dexterity, but results in smoother shaved skin. Solingen Böker produces razors in several variants, for the demanding customers also from damask steel, decorated with 24 carat gold, with handles made of exotic wood, horn, mother-of-pearl.
