The mechanism operates as follows: the spine of the handle is reinforced with a titanium rod that pivots just below the pocket clip within the handle. The end of the rod is pressed into a cut-out between the blade and the stop pin, aided by a spring in the handle, effectively locking the blade. By pushing the rod backwards, the blade is unlocked. This intuitive lock is perfect for both left and right-handed users.

The handle is made from transparent Lexan, a polycarbonate produced by the brand Sabic. It is a high-quality thermoplastic polycarbonate known for its exceptional strength, durability, UV resistance, and excellent thermal resistance. The knife also features an ambidextrous deep carry pocket clip.
