Caldera is a knife with a blade in the shape of a modified chopper from CJRB Cutlery with an attractive angular appearance that is pleasing to the eye. It may not seem like it, but the handle is extremely comfortable to hold, making using this knife a pleasure. The blade provides enough sharpness for cutting and an extremely sharp tip. Caldera is the right size for most people, and for this price, it is a great EDC knife that can truly surprise.

The blade, made of patented AR-RPM9 steel, opens with a flipper and is held in the open position by a linerlock safety. The handle is made of durable G10 material. The knife is equipped with a pocket clip for carrying.

Im Vergleich zum Tigris ist das Caldera wesentlich kompakter und leichter. Der Clip ist sehr tauglich und das Messer lässt sich angenehm in der Hosentasche tragen. Hier ist alles sauber verarbeitet. Messer kam sehr scharf ab Fabrik. Der Klingengang ist hier nicht ganz so geschmeidig wie beim Tigris. Verarbeitung der Griffschalen jedoch besser als beim Tigris. Es macht auch in der Küche eine gute Figur bei der Essenzubereizung. Hab das Messer schon paarmal in der Hose getragen und es trägt sich relativ angenehm.

Velmi pekný moderný nôž. AR-RPM9 lacná prášková oceľ, prekvapivo dobrá ľahko sa brúsi a dobre drží ostrie. Za mňa výrazne lepšie ako bežná low-coste oceľľ. Prišiel ostrý ako žiletka. Hrúbka v chrbte primeraná k špici sa však už podľa príliš rýchlo zužuje. Čepeľ mohla byť aspon o 0.5cm až 1cm dlhšia a tiež aj rukoväť. Ak niekto zháňa EDC na potraviny v kancli, krabice či piknik, veľmi dobrá voľba. Ale hrubé zaobchádzanie to podľa mňa neznese.
