Model Ekko is the result of the first collaboration between CJRB and Ray Laconico. Ekko draws inspiration from one of Ray Laconico's latest designs. It provides a perfect combination of robust functionality and gentlemanly elegance. Ekko is an exceptional knife with an unparalleled sense of style and practicality.

The blade is made of AR-RPM9 powdered steel, which combines the mechanical properties of D2 steel and the corrosion resistance of Sandvik 14C28N steel. The blade is opened using a hole in the blade and is held in the open position by a buttonlock safety. The handle is made of lightweight carbon fiber. The knife is equipped with a pocket clip for carry.

Das besondere hier ist der Buttonlock gepaart mit Daumenloch und Frontflipper. Man hat also gleich drei verschiedene Möglichkeiten die 8,3cm Klinge zu öffnen. Diese gleitet natürlich kugelgelagert und ist aus dem hauseigenen Stahl AR-RPM9 gefertigt. Der Clip ist umsetzbar und der Griff schafft es Hände mit Handschuhgröße 10 auszufüllen. Die Schneide ist ein Musterbeispiel für einen guten Werksschliff, gleichmäßig und sauscharf. Die gesamte Verarbeitung ist hervorragend.

Das Messer ist toll speziel für den Preis von etwa 50,- Euro. Die Action ist gut, muss sich aber noch ein wenig einspielen. Es hat noch einen leichten Buttonstick. Die Griffschalen sind etwas glatt, schauen aber schön aus. Der Spydiflick geht sehr gut, das Frontflippen ist okay. Der einzige Minuspunkt ist das doch höhere Gewicht für ein EDC Messer. Nur Lob gibt es für Knifestock: Der Service bzw die Abwicklung von Knifestock ist hervorragend.
