The COLD STEEL AD-15 is a high-end folding knife crafted by the esteemed designer Andrew Demko, known for his robust and innovative knife designs. This knife merges top-quality materials with meticulous craftsmanship, making it perfect for tactical applications and everyday use. The knife features a Spear Point Sabre style blade, offering great versatility for cutting and piercing tasks. Constructed from CPM S35VN steel, it is recognized for its excellent wear resistance, sharpness retention, and outstanding corrosion resistance. The ambidextrous thumb stud enables quick and easy one-handed opening, enhancing handling flexibility. A standout feature is the Scorpion Lock safety mechanism, also designed by Andrew Demko. Positioned on the top of the handle, it operates via a moving lever that secures the blade when open. The lock automatically engages when the blade is opened and must be pushed in to release the blade for closing. The handle is engineered for comfort, strength, and durability, suitable for demanding use. It is crafted from G10 and titanium, offering an optimal balance of strength and lightweight properties. The G10 section provides high impact and moisture resistance, with a textured surface for improved grip and slip resistance. Titanium components are incorporated into the handle to enhance strength and stability, particularly around the Scorpion Lock mechanism.
