Product Description
The MAA SERGEANT'S HALBERD is often perceived as a ceremonial weapon, which in the 18th and 19th centuries was worn by officers and non-commissioned officers as a badge of rank. But it was also a highly feared war weapon. Cold Steel's interpretation of the halberd is the embodiment of this iconic combat tool. The head is made of 1055 carbon steel and is fully sharpened. Surprisingly robust and durable, its point can be used as a thrusting spear, hook for catching and pulling, axe with a wide blade as a cutting and chopping tool.
The MAA SERGEANT'S HALBERD is a perfect addition to the collection of any military history enthusiast, re-enactor, or practitioner of historical Western martial arts.
In order to keep costs low and transportation simpler, the halberd does not include a handle. It is designed to accept most standard 48-inch shovel handles, which are available at most garden and construction supply stores or online retailers.
