Product Description
The Fenix HM60R is a highly powerful rechargeable headlamp that offers a light output of up to 1300 lumens with a beam distance of 120 meters in the main reflector. The secondary reflector with a power of up to 350 lumens has a very wide and smooth light pattern with a neutral white tint. The advantage of this tint is a more natural and contrasted rendering of colors in the terrain. The control of both LEDs is independent, making the use of the headlamp very simple (the cones cannot be combined). The headlamp also features a red light with a power of 5 lumens. The package includes a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which can be charged directly in the headlamp via a USB-C connector. Additionally, the headlamp offers a special function called 'FREQUENCY SENSING' in the 130 and 350 lumens modes of the long-range reflector, which detects motion and automatically adjusts the power based on the running speed (step frequency) to the selected value. It is therefore suitable for night running, trail running, hiking, fishing, caving, as well as work use. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling, and is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater.
All parameters of the flashlight (light output, battery operating time, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Parameters of the rechargeable Fenix HM60R headlamp:
- Utilizes a powerful Cree XP-G2 LED with a neutral tint, LED Luminus SST-40 with a daylight white tint, and two additional red Everlight 2835 LEDs, all with a lifespan of 50000 hours of lighting
- Long-range reflector: 1300 lumens (2 hours) -> 350 lumens (8 hours) -> 130 lumens (18 hours) -> 30 lumens (54 hours)
- Wide reflector: 350 lumens (8 hours) -> 70 lumens (24 hours) -> 5 lumens (300 hours) -> red 5 lumens (100 hours) -> red SOS signal 5 lumens (200 hours)
- Light output and endurance times are measured with the included 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 00 mAh
- The long-range reflector creates a beam distance of 120 meters (3596 cd), the wide reflector shines up to a distance of 33 meters (268 cd), the red light has a range of 5 meters (7 cd)
- Electronics with digital regulation, reverse battery insertion protection, and overheating protection
- Powered by a single rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which is included in the package. In case of emergency, two lithium CR123A batteries can also be used
- Memory for the last set power mode of the long-range reflector (except when turned off in the highest mode, then it will next turn on in the second highest mode for safety reasons)
- Memory for the last set power mode of the wide reflector
- The headlamp can be rotated in the holder over a wide range to adjust the desired direction of lighting
- Made of solid aluminum alloy with a hard-to-scratch surface - Type III hard anodized
- Waterproof according to the IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters)
- Dimensions of the headlamp: 8.5 cm x 4.5 cm x 4.5 cm
- Weight 157 grams (including battery and strap)
- Impact resistant from a height of 2 meters
- Hardened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating
- The package includes the headlamp, Fenix 18650 3400 mAh battery, USB-C cable, head straps, and a spare O-ring
- The headlamp can be complemented with the Fenix APB-20, Fenix APB-30 cases, USB wall adapter, and USB car adapter
- For easy attachment to a helmet, the Fenix ALG-03, ALG-04 holder can be purchased
Usage:
There may be an insulating cover inside the flashlight on the battery from the factory. Remove it before first use.
- When the headlamp is off, it will turn on in the last used mode of the long-range reflector by holding the button for 0.5 seconds (except when turned off in the highest mode, then it will next turn on in the second highest mode).
- When the headlamp is off, it will turn on in the last used mode of the wide reflector by double-pressing the button quickly.
- When the headlamp is on, it will turn off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- With the headlamp on, you can cycle through the power modes by short presses of the button in the order of 30 - 130 - 350 - 1300 lumens (when the long-range reflector is on). The flashlight has a memory for the long-range reflector and will always turn on in the last set mode (except when turned off in the highest mode, then it will next turn on in the second highest mode). With the wide reflector on, you can cycle through the modes by short presses of the button in the order of 5 lumens red light - 5 lumens white light - 70 lumens - 350 lumens - 5 lumens red SOS signal. The flashlight also has a memory for the last used mode of the wide reflector.
Frequency Sensing - this function automatically adjusts the power based on the running speed in the 130 and 350 lumens modes of the long-range reflector. The standard light of the headlamp is set to 150 steps per minute. At lower speeds, the power gradually decreases to 70%, and at higher speeds, it increases up to 150% of the normal level.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be off), the LED battery charge status indicator in the button is activated. Green light indicates a battery charge of 85-100%, flashing green light indicates 50-85%, red light indicates 25-50%, flashing red light indicates less than 25%.
Locking the headlamp against accidental activation: Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn, which interrupts the electrical contact and prevents the headlamp from turning on. The button can also be electronically locked - with the headlamp off, hold the button pressed for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight will flash red. To unlock, hold the button for 3 seconds again.
Overheat protection: If the headlamp temperature exceeds 55°C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 55°C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already in the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to light up until the battery is completely drained. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated only for rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Charging:
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side covering the USB-C connector. Connect the charging USB-C cable to the headlamp and the other end to a USB port on a computer, wall USB adapter, or car USB adapter (not included). Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. During charging, the side button will light up red, and after full charge, it will light up green. Charging a fully depleted battery takes about 3 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the headlamp can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.
