Product Description
Fenix HM71R and Mini Flashlight Fenix E02R Set in Black
The Fenix HM71R is a high-performance rechargeable headlamp that offers a maximum output of 2700 lumens (ANSI). The headlamp is equipped with two light sources: a long-range reflector with a Luminus SFT-70 LED that can reach up to 230 meters, and a wide reflector with a Luminus SST-20 LED that provides 500 lumens of neutral white light with a high color rendering index (CRI 90). It is powered by a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which charges directly in the headlamp via a USB-C connector. The control button features an indicator LED that lets you know when the battery needs recharging. The magnetic tailcap allows the light to be easily attached to any metal surface.
The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling, and is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard, up to a depth of 2 meters. The durability is further enhanced by a stainless steel protective cover around the reflectors. The practicality of the headlamp is increased by the ability to remove the light from the headband and use it as a pocket or work light. Additionally, the headlamp comes with a removable steel clip, allowing you to easily attach it to a pocket or strap. The Fenix HM71R multifunctional light is appreciated by cavers, mountain guides, ski mountaineers, climbers, cyclists, rescuers, mountain services, repairmen, industrial workers, as well as tourists and anglers.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofing, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Technical Specifications of Fenix HM71R:
Premium high-performance Luminus SFT-70 LED with daylight color (approx. 6000 K) and Luminus SST-20 LED with CRI 90 and neutral color (approx. 4000 K), both with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
Long-range reflector: 2700 lumens (3 hours) -> 800 lumens (5 hours) -> 200 lumens (16 hours) -> 50 lumens (48 hours).
Wide reflector: 500 lumens (8 hours) -> 200 lumens (16 hours) -> 50 lumens (48 hours) -> 5 lumens (400 hours).
Luminous flux and runtimes are measured with the included 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh.
The long-range reflector produces a beam distance of 230 meters (13,300 cd), while the wide reflector reaches up to 47 meters (555 cd).

Usage Instructions:
Before first use, remove the insulating cover from the battery inside the light.
To turn on the headlamp in the last used mode of the long-range reflector, hold the button for 0.5 seconds. (Except when turned off in the highest mode, it will turn on in the second highest mode next time).
To turn on the headlamp in the lowest mode (5 lumens) of the wide reflector, double-click the button quickly.
To turn off the headlamp, hold the button for 0.5 seconds.
While the headlamp is on, you can switch between the long-range and wide reflector by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. The reflectors cannot be activated simultaneously.
When the headlamp is on, you can cycle through power modes with short presses of the button in the sequence of 50 - 200 - 800 - 2700 lumens (when the long-range reflector is on) or 5 - 50 - 200 - 500 lumens (when the wide reflector is on). The light has a memory for the long-range reflector and always turns on in the last set mode (except when turned off in the highest mode, it will turn on in the second highest mode next time). The wide reflector always starts in the lowest mode.
Battery Status Indicator:
When the button is briefly pressed (the headlamp must be off), the LED indicator in the button activates. If the indicator LED lights up green, the battery is charged more than 80%. Green flashing indicates 50-80% capacity. If it lights up red, the battery is charged 20-50%. Red flashing indicates less than 20% battery capacity remaining.
Locking the Headlamp Against Accidental Activation:
Loosen the battery cover by a quarter turn to interrupt the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be turned on. The button can also be locked electronically – hold the button for 3 seconds while the headlamp is off. After locking, the light will flash four times. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.
Overheat Protection:
If the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 65°C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Low Battery Warning:
If the battery voltage drops below a set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already in the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. The headlamp will continue to light until the battery is completely drained.
Charging Instructions:
Connect the charging cable to a USB port on a computer, a USB adapter for mains, or a USB adapter for a car. On the headlamp, open the rubber cover and connect the cable to the charging USB-C port. During charging, the indicator in the button lights up red, and when charging is complete, it lights up green. The headlamp can be used in the lowest mode of the long-range light during charging, but the charging time will be extended accordingly. Charging the fully depleted Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery takes approximately 4 hours (using a 5V/2A power source).
