Product Description
Rechargeable battery Fenix ARB-L16-700UP (RCR123A, 16340) with its own rechargeable micro-USB port. It can be charged by connecting the cable to the micro-USB port (e.g. from a computer or a mobile phone charger), in a regular charger, as well as in rechargeable flashlights and torches. Compared to ARB-L16-700U and ARB-L16-700 batteries, it is designed for higher discharge current (up to 2.5 A). Therefore, it is particularly suitable for devices with higher current consumption, such as Fenix E16 and E18R flashlights. The batteries do not have a memory effect and have minimal self-discharge.
Battery protection can be divided into two areas. The first includes added electronic circuits that prevent overcharging of the cell (a situation in which there is a risk of explosion with conventional li-ion batteries) or, conversely, excessive discharging (the battery would then not be able to be recharged). Moreover, these circuits protect the battery against short circuits or high current consumption that could damage the battery. If the battery's electronics detect that limit values have been reached, the cell is disconnected. The second area is protection against overheating (PTC thermal protection) and a special explosion-proof valve. Unlike other valves used in li-ion batteries, this valve, when the gas pressure inside the cell exceeds a certain threshold, separates the electrodes inside the battery, effectively interrupting the exothermic reaction and releasing the excess gas pressure outside the battery. Thanks to the combination of electronic and mechanical (temperature and pressure) protection, Fenix batteries are among the safest available li-ion batteries.
Due to its size, the RCR123 battery corresponds to a single-use CR123A lithium battery, which is why it is often used as a rechargeable alternative to these single-use cells in flashlights. Please check if your device supports this battery type, as it has a higher nominal voltage compared to a single-use battery. These batteries can also be used, for example, in Fenix E15 XP-G2, E16, E18R, PD25R, Fenix RC09, HM50R, HM51R, CL09, and Fenix PD22 Ultimate Edition flashlights.
CAUTION - do not use in Fenix E15 (does not apply to E15 XP-G2), PD10, PD12, PD20, PD22 (does not apply to Ultimate Edition), and HL50 flashlights, as it may damage the electronics!
Due to its length of 35.5 mm, it may not fit older flashlight models!

Charging:
- Via micro-USB connector: Insert the USB cable into the side micro-USB connector, the indicator light on the top of the battery will light up red during charging. It will turn blue when fully charged.
- In a flashlight or headlamp: The battery can also be charged in rechargeable flashlights and headlamps. It can be used as a spare battery for HM50R V2.0, HM51R V2.0 headlamps, and E18R and LD15R flashlights.
