The Fox Knives Metamorphosis FX-556 is a knife that exudes uniqueness and innovation. The concept for the Fox Metamorphosis was conceived by Gabriele Frati, the CEO of Fox Knives. His vision? A premium pocket knife that is fully customizable. This is why the knife was crafted by Denis Simonutti, the creator of the Radius lock.
This particular model of the Fox Metamorphosis features a sheepsfoot blade crafted from Böhler M390 steel, a renowned Austrian steel. M390 is known for its exceptional edge retention and high resistance to corrosion. The bolster and backspacer are constructed from PVD-coated black titanium. The handle scales are made from black canvas micarta, a composite material consisting of fabric and synthetic resin.
The pocket knife is operated and secured with the Radius lock, designed by Denis Simonutti. A single button is used to open or close the knife and to lock it. This groundbreaking invention is unmatched by any other brand. A new aspect of the Metamorphosis is the modification of the Radius lock to also enable 'regular' blade opening via the flipper. This enhancement allows for even faster handling of the knife without sacrificing safety.
