The uniqueness of the Randy Newberg DTS knife lies in its two blades. The abbreviation DTS stands for Dual Tool System, which means a system with two tools. Each blade has its specific function. The serrated blade made of D2 steel is great for demanding tasks such as cutting thick fur and bones. It is also ideal for slicing tendons. D2 steel is durable and maintains its sharpness. It is truly an excellent choice.
The second blade is larger and made of 440C steel. This blade is suitable for cutting work and other tasks. 440C steel is softer than D2, which means it is easier to sharpen. If you systematically use the D2 steel blade for more demanding tasks and the 440C steel blade for more common tasks, you will always have a sharp blade ready.
The handle was designed to be comfortable to hold during any use. The handle material is rubber, which ensures a reliable grip even in wet conditions.
