With its angular lines on the handle and cutouts in the head and handle of the axe, it definitely has a modern appearance. The cutouts also help reduce the weight of this tool. The handle, made of GFN, contains textured rubberized inserts for secure handling. The cutout in the head is part of the carrying system, and the included sheath fits into place through the opening. When the sheath is secured, add a strap for comfortable shoulder carrying. The opening at the end of the handle provides a place to attach a lanyard.
