Product Description
Bokken, commonly known as Bokuto in Japan, is a wooden sword used primarily in Japanese martial arts such as Iaido, Aikido, Kenjutsu, or Kendo. The wooden variant is a much safer way to train various forms of martial arts compared to using sharp swords such as Katana or Wakizashi. Thanks to its dimensions and weight, Bokken is used for all types of exercises from sparring to movement practice (kata). The small Magnum Tanto made of untreated white oak corresponds in dimensions to a knife and is particularly suitable for training disarming techniques. Treating the wood with oil (e.g. Boker camellia oil) provides additional protection against dirt and moisture and increases grip in sweaty hands compared to lacquered wood.
