M390 - is a high-performance martensitic chrome steel produced through powder metallurgy. Its alloy composition provides exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, the blade maintains its sharp edge for an extended period, requiring minimal upkeep. Another benefit is its resistance to forming a "wire" edge during sharpening. The steel contains a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr), with 1.9% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), and is hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels and is manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - features a drop point design, finished by hand using the Manual Fine Grinding Pearlescent Surface Effect method for a striking visual appeal. The long cutting edge, with a gentle curve, tapers to a needle-sharp tip on the wide blade. The blade's thickness ensures high strength, while the high, flat grind provides excellent cutting capabilities. Ceramic ball bearings ensure the blade's smooth operation. The flipper mechanism allows for quick opening, and the knife can also be opened using a double-sided thumb stud. The upper jimping wedge includes a notched thumb rest. The knife is secured with a reliable frame lock featuring a steel inlay to prevent wear on the lock face.
Handle - consists of thick sandblasted titanium 6AL4V pieces, precisely milled using CNC machinery. The titanium backspacer, to which the grips are attached, ensures the structure's rigidity and strength. The simple and solid construction promises years of reliable use. The single-position clip (right), made of titanium, allows for tip-up carry. The pivot axis is adorned with a titanium overlay. The handle's back includes a storage space for a titanium toothpick, a simple yet practical accessory for daily use and outdoor adventures.
