D2 is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that is heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a chromium content of 13.0%, it offers better corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. It combines strength, excellent edge retention, and ease of sharpening, with high wear resistance due to its high carbide content. The blade features a Clip Point design, finished with a fine Stonewashed texture and coated with a black titanium-based layer. The broad belly increases the cutting edge length compared to the blade's overall length, tapering to a sharp tip. The blade's thickness and flat grind provide excellent cutting geometry and performance. The spine jimping on the blade's back offers thumb support for better knife control. The handle is crafted from G10 composite, a nearly indestructible material resistant to weather, chemicals, and mechanical damage. It is directly attached to the blade for exceptional durability. The rounded handle design eliminates sharp edges, and its textured surface enhances grip. A protruding tang with a hole for a lanyard is located at the handle's end, which can also function as a glass breaker. The sheath is designed for easy carrying and access to the knife.
