14C28N is a martensitic chromium stainless steel, the latest advancement in knife steels from Swedish Sandvik steel mills. Its optimized chemical composition, with a unique blend, offers superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. By reducing carbon to 0.62% (C) and increasing chromium to 14.0% (Cr), along with adding 0.11% nitrogen (N), corrosion resistance is significantly enhanced. It is considered an improved version of 13C26 steel, unbeatable in the price/quality category!
Blade - features a drop point design, finished with hand grinding. The long cutting edge with a pronounced belly tapers to a needle-sharp tip on the wide wedge. The blade's thickness provides high strength, while the high, flat grind ensures excellent cutting capabilities. Ceramic ball bearings facilitate the smooth operation of the blade deployment mechanism. A front flipper allows for quick opening, and the knife can also be opened using a double-sided thumb stud on the wedge. The upper jimping wedge on the back has a notched thumb rest. It uses a Liner Lock mechanism.
Handle - crafted from brown G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin), textured for enhanced grip confidence, and bolted to the knife's steel frame. The substantial backspacer to which the grips are attached ensures the structure's rigidity and strength. A single-position (right) steel deep-carry clip allows for discreet pocket carry in a tip-up position (blade tip up). The decorative ring around the pivot, known as the pivot collar, is made of blue anodized titanium. The protruding section of the backspacer includes a lanyard hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
