The Silky saw blade is very thin and hard, making it amazing to work with. However, when using it, you must pay extra attention to the blade. Why? This saw is pull-cut, which means the blade does not bend during use. Make sure that when the blade moves forward, you are not pushing on it, as you risk breaking it. Always release pressure on the blade to allow the saw to do the work. As with any saw: let the saw do the work and do not push it with force. By doing so, you will not tire quickly and the saw will not wear out as fast. The way you hold the handle determines how much wood you will cut. Holding your hands close to the blade means applying less pressure on the blade, allowing for more precise cutting. Holding the back of the handle increases pressure, resulting in faster but less precise cutting.

If the Silky saw is adorned with the symbol of impulse hardening, it means the saw was impulse-hardened and cannot be sharpened with a file. You can tell that the saw was impulse-hardened when you look at the blade and see that the tips of the teeth are black.

The Silky blade needs to be kept clean to ensure it stays in great shape. Resin dissolves in contact with olive oil, making it an effective environmentally friendly product you can use to clean the blade. Note: aggressive cleaning agents can damage the rubber handle.

When not in use, you should place the saw in its case and store it in a dry place.
