SOG
SOG Specialty Knives, Inc. (commonly known as SOG) is an American company producing knives and tools, recognized for reproducing the SOG knife from the Vietnam War era.
Founded in 1986 by Spencer and Gloria Frazer, the company’s name was inspired by the Joint Services special operations unit, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam Studies and Observations Group.
SOG produces a range of knives beyond its original military-inspired designs, with many aimed at everyday carry (EDC). The company also produces its own line of multitools and tools.
SOG has come a long way, always using high-quality materials for the blade, handle, and sheath. Blade options range from proven steels like D2 to modern steels such as CTS-XHP and S30V. Handle options vary from fine leather to indestructible G10 or modern plastics.
