Spyderco Gauntlet is a simple set for sharpening your knives. You can sharpen the blade in a matter of minutes without the use of oil, water, complicated holders, or electricity. The sharpener consists of a durable plastic stand with a handguard and 2 holes for sharpening rods, which together form a 40° angle (20° each). The holes have a star shape, so you can rotate the rods to a new sharpening side towards the blade or use the edge for sharpening serrated blades.

The set includes a stand and a pair of ceramic sharpening rods, which can also be purchased separately. The Gauntlet Premium Set (603FCBN) also includes a pair of rods for sharpening dull blades made of a diamond-like material - CBN (crystalline form of boron nitride).
