Spyderco C41PSBBK5 Native 5 Lightweight Black, Black Blade

After thorough internal blade performance testing, Spyderco has decided to change the blade steel of the Native 5 model from CPM-S35VN to CPM-S30V, so some versions of Native 5 will have different steels. This change also applies to the materials used to produce G10 and FRN handles. Most versions of the Native 5 model will be equipped with G-10 material.

The knife blade is made of CPM-S30V steel, with a black, matte coating. It is flat ground from the spine to the cutting edge, which helps with cutting performance. The serrations extend halfway along the cutting edge. You will appreciate them when cutting ropes and cords. The knife opens with a round hole in the blade, characteristic of Spyderco knives. The blade locks open with a back lock mechanism. The handle is made of black FRN material. It is lightly shaped with a fine textured surface for added grip. To increase strength, the liners are backed by recessed stainless-steel liners. The pocket clip is made of steel, matte black in color, and is four-positionable, meaning you have four mounting options. A lanyard hole is provided in the handle.
