Spyderco C41PSBK5 Native 5 Lightweight Black
After thorough internal performance testing of the blades, Spyderco decided to change the blade steel of the Native 5 model from CPM-S35VN steel to CPM-S30V steel, so some versions of the Native 5 will have different steels. This change also applies to the materials used for making the handles, G10 and FRN. The majority of Native 5 versions will be equipped with G-10 material.
The knife blade is made of CPM-S35VN steel. It is sharpened from the upper edge of the blade, which helps with increased cutting performance. The serration extends to half of the cutting edge. You will appreciate it especially when cutting ropes and cords. It opens with a round hole on the blade, characteristic for Spyderco. The blade locks with a back lock mechanism after opening. The handle is made of black FRN material. It is slightly shaped with a fine non-slip treatment. For greater strength, the liners are backed with embedded steel inserts. The pocket clip is steel, polished, and four-position, meaning you have four mounting options. There is a lanyard hole on the handle for cord attachment.
