Spyderco - The Para 3 is the latest generation of the well-known Paramilitary folding knife family. Its history dates back to 2004, when the first series of Paramilitary knives was created. Based on this, the Para 3 faithfully preserves all the characteristic features of its predecessor, the best-selling Paramilitary 2, but in a smaller, more uniform design. Although the Para 3 is clearly based on the Paramilitary 2, it was not named "Paramilitary 3" because the number "3" actually reflects the length of the blade, which is three inches, rather than being the third generation of the Paramilitary design. This knife has its own "identity" as a standalone Spyderco product. It is made with various steel options and comes in a variety of handle colors.
The blade is made of CPM S45VN steel in a matte black color. It is full-flat ground, giving it exceptional cutting performance. The open blade is securely locked by a solid Compression Lock, which is positioned on the handle's spine and allows for easy one-handed opening and closing. The handle is black and made of G-10 material, reinforced with stainless steel liners for added strength and durability. The four-position pocket clip allows for customizable carry options. The handle also features a lanyard hole for added versatility.
