Spyderco - The Para 3 is the latest generation of the famous Paramilitary folding knife family. Its history dates back to 2004, when the first series of Paramilitary knives was created. Based on that, the Para 3 faithfully preserves all the characteristic features of its predecessor, the best-selling Paramilitary 2, but in a smaller, more compact package. Although the Para 3 is clearly based on the Paramilitary 2, it was not named "Paramilitary 3" because the number "3" actually reflects the length of the blade, which is three inches, rather than being the third generation of the paramilitary design. This knife has its own "identity" as a standalone Spyderco product. It is made from various steels and comes in a variety of handle color variations.
The blade is made of CPM-S45VN steel. It is flat ground, giving it exceptional cutting performance. The open blade is secured by a sturdy Compression Lock, located on the back of the handle, which allows for easy one-handed opening and closing. The handle features an American digital camouflage pattern and is made of G-10 material. For added strength and durability, it is reinforced with stainless steel liners. The pocket clip is four-way reversible, allowing you to position it according to your preference. The handle also has a lanyard hole for added versatility.
