These are diamond triangle grinding rods coated with a binder and then covered with diamond dust particles. The grinding rods have resistance to abrasion, chipping, and thermal conductivity compared to common abrasives such as silicon carbide and aluminum oxide. Extremely hard abrasives are recommended when you want to remove material or restore or reshape the cutting edge profile. When using these rods, proceed gently as excessive pressure will remove particles from the steel triangles more quickly.
