Product Description
The V-42 combat knife became famous in the service of the Allied American-Canadian unit Devil's Brigade, which operated deep behind enemy lines during World War II. Thanks to frequent night raids, blackened faces, and the feared dagger, they earned the nickname "Black Devils".
In order for the knife to be a reliable part of a soldier's gear and withstand demanding training and close combat, it had to be specially designed. The double-edged blade is made of SK-85 carbon steel, which has a black surface finish. The unsharpened part of the blade (ricasso) has thumb grooves. The guard has thick leather on the handle side to prevent hand injuries. The handle is made of compressed impregnated leather and finished with a pointed pommel, which was used for breaking glass or injuring the enemy.
This knife is supplied with a classic leather sheath, a replica of the 1st SSF textile patch, and a sticker with the German inscription "The worst is yet to come!" to demoralize the enemy - a great set for any World War II enthusiast.
