Kupilka produces its products from Kareline Natural Fibre Composite, a composite material. This biomaterial is made up of 50% pine fiber and 50% thermoplastic.

When comparing the composite to regular plastic, there are several advantages. Composite products have better thermal and mechanical resistance due to their solid structure. They can also be engraved or carved. When comparing the fiber composite to wood, the most important advantage is that the composite does not require any maintenance. Additionally, it does not absorb odors, flavors, and is not sensitive to moisture. All Kupilka products can be washed in a mountain stream or in a dishwasher.

Kupilka products are recyclable and can be disposed of in separate containers. All packaging is made from recycled cardboard. The strap on the Kupilka 5 is made from reindeer leather.
