Model 3 is a fixed survival knife suitable for outdoor activities, camping, and bushcraft. The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel. The durable powder coating on the blade helps protect against corrosion, which is a characteristic of this steel. With proper use and maintenance, this steel will last a lifetime.

The knife has a handle made of micarta material, in a gray color. This material is slightly rough, which is good for grip and work in wet conditions. The ESEE 3 has a relatively small size and therefore won't take up much space in your gear. These compact dimensions indicate that the knife can be used as an EDC knife. The handle has a finger guard and overall provides a strong and reliable grip, despite its simple and not too shaped design.

The knife comes with a well-designed, versatile sheath made of Zytel material, which can be attached in any way, using the included mounting system compatible with the MOLLE system, or with a steel belt clip. The mounting can be done on both sides, so it is customizable.
