Product Description
If you ask any Norwegian today what his first knife was, the answer will be "speiderkniv med raud tupp". A scout knife with a red end. Helle can trace the origin of these knives back to 1947, when they made the first scout knife with a red end. The current designs with a scout girl and scout boy on the sheath date back to 1971.
The knife was designed and is still manufactured with two clear intentions. Firstly, that it will be a suitable tool for children. This means that it is sharp and has a functional handle suitable for smaller hands. Secondly, that it is safe. The guard prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade and the sheath with a patented button secures the knife in the sheath.
The blade is made of stainless steel Sandvik 12C27. The shaped handle with an extended end is made of beech wood. It is complemented by a steel guard to protect the hand.
The knife comes with a leather sheath with a patented button and an embossed scout motif.
