KA-BAR KB-1257 SHORT KA-BAR-BLACK
The Ka-bar company became famous mainly for its series of military knives, such as the USMC Marine Corps knife or later the Next Generation Fighting Knife model. The Ka-Bar USMC model was used as standard equipment by the US Navy during World War II, and soldiers used these knives not only as weapons but also as tools to assist them in other activities.
Ka-bar knives continued to be used in the military during conflicts in Vietnam, Korea, and in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm, and many found fans among hikers and bushcraft enthusiasts.
This KA-BAR Short is a smaller version of the KA-BAR 1214 USMC. Materials, finishes, and shapes: all the same. Only the size has been reduced to 75% of the original. It's simply a smaller version.
The design of the KA-BAR short 1942 model is based on the USMC combat knife, which the US Navy Corps used as a combat knife for sailors in 1942. Since then, this knife has been a standard part of many soldiers' equipment. The handle is improved with protective elements to prevent your hand from coming into contact with sharp edges during use and manipulation. The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel. This steel is not corrosion-resistant. Therefore, the blade is enhanced with a black finish to make maintenance much easier.
The knife comes with a nice leather sheath so you can carry it safely with you.
