Sawyer SP129 Squeeze Filter

Sawyer Squeeze Filter is the most versatile travel filtration system in the world. The filter is based on the use of hollow microfibers, whose walls form a membrane with a pore size of max. 0.1 microns. With a total weight of 85 g and the ability to roll up into a small package, it takes up almost no space in your backpack. At the same time, it achieves a high flow rate of up to 2 l/min. The PointONE™ technology with a maximum pore size of 0.1 microns used in Sawyer filters guarantees the removal of 99.99999% of all health-harming bacteria (salmonella, cholera, E. coli, etc.) and parasitic organisms (giardia and cryptosporidium), thereby exceeding the very strict American EPA and NSF requirements.

The filtered water through the Sawyer SP128/129 device meets the drinking water standard valid for the Slovak Republic and the EU: (SOP 06.0.52, STN EN ISO 9308-1 and SOP 06.0.3, STN EN ISO 6222).

How does the SAWYER SP129 Squeeze Filter work?

It is easy to use. After collecting water from a lake, stream, or river into a bottle/pouch, screw the Sawyer filter onto it, and then you have four options:
- Squeeze the bottle and filter water into your bottle or any container.
- Drink directly from the filter - the filter comes with a sport cap on/off closure like on cycling bottles.
- Attach a screw-on adapter for PET bottles to the filter and pump/filter water into a PET bottle.
- Connect the filter to a hydration pack and comfortably drink directly from the pack.

Note! After filtering water, the filter MUST NOT FREEZE! This would damage the porous membrane (this applies to essentially all porous filters). When used in freezing conditions, you must carry the filter, for example, in a chest pocket or elsewhere on your body until it is thoroughly dry. Given the size of the filter, this is not a problem.
