Spyderco C79PSOR Assist Lightweight Orange Carbide Tip
Spyderco Assist was designed for emergency professionals - firefighters, rescuers, and similar. These knives must be absolutely reliable, fully functional in every situation and weather.
The rescue blade with a blunt tip is made of VG-10 steel. It is designed for fast and aggressive cutting of safety belts, ropes, strings, and fibrous materials. The blade is serrated almost along the entire length of the cutting edge. The serrations end a bit before the blunt tip. The blade opens manually with a round hole on the blade. Next to it, there is a textured protrusion for easier opening and, most importantly, for secure and safe thumb placement during cutting. The blade is also shaped on the top side to allow easy use even in a semi-open state, as rope shears, without having to fully open the knife. The handle is maximally safe and has a clear orange color. It is made of FRN material and ergonomically shaped with a comfortable grip from both sides. When closed, press the blade deeper into the handle and the retractable carbide tip will protrude for easy glass breaking. The pocket clip is wire and dual-position.
An interesting feature of the knife is a small whistle built into the handle.
