Spyderco Rescue 79mm is a smaller equivalent of the larger Spyderco Rescue 93mm. The serrated blade/SpyderEdge/is made of VG-10 steel. It opens manually, with one hand, using a round hole in the blade. The lightly textured hump on the blade serves as a secure resting place for the thumb during cutting. The open knife is securely locked by a back lock mechanism. The black handle is made of FRN material. It is a highly durable plastic that is well suited for folding knife handles. The clip is matte black and dual-position, so you can move it as needed. The handle features a lanyard hole.

FRN material is a nylon polymer mixed with glass fibers and injected into the desired shape. It is produced in various colors and textures.
