Product Description
Adjacent to the headquarters of Boker in Solingen is the symbol of the Bergisches Land region, Burg an der Wupper Castle. It is also one of the largest castles in western Germany and the largest reconstructed castle in North Rhine-Westphalia. The famous history of Burg Castle is inseparably linked to the Duchy of Berg and the Counts of Berg (Haus Berg 1068-1225). On this occasion, we decided to dedicate a series of Straight Razors to the three counts of Berg, which symbolizes different parts of the lives of the three counts and reminds us of the remarkable wealth and influence of the counts with impressive decorations made of 24-carat gold.
The last Count von Berg, Engelbert II., was also known as Engelbert I., the Archbishop of Cologne. When he was murdered, Berg went to the House of Limburg. This outstanding Straight Razor shows Engelbert as the Archbishop of Cologne. The graduated head of this blade (grinded until it creates the correct sound) made of the finest Solingen Straight Razor steel and the curved blade back in combination with the handle made of the finest deer antler demonstrate its excellent elegance and unique quality. It includes a certificate of authenticity and a detailed depiction of the presentation with an individual serial number.
