Product Description
Near the headquarters of Boker in Solingen is located the emblem of the Bergisches Land region, Burg Castle on the Wupper River. It is also one of the largest castles in western Germany and the largest reconstructed castle in North Rhine-Westphalia. The famous history of Burg Castle is inseparably linked to the Duchy of Berg and the Counts of Berg (Haus Berg 1068-1225). On this occasion, we decided to dedicate a series of Straight Razors to the three Counts of Berg, which symbolize different parts of the lives of these counts and remind us of their remarkable wealth and influence with impressive decorations made of 24-carat gold.
The extraordinary shaving razor, the Straight Razor, symbolizes the death of Count Adolf III of Berg during the Fifth Crusade in Egypt. The end of the polished blade is adorned with a French head, emphasizing the unique elegance of this knife. Handpicked stag scales with additional decorative studs, elaborately ground back of the blade, and partial gilding (24 carats) are just some of the highlights. It comes in a refined presentation with a certificate of authenticity and an individual serial number.
