KA-BAR KB-BK16 BECKER SHORT DROP POINT
Firma Ka-bar has become famous mainly for its series of military knives, such as the USMC Marine Corps knife or later the Next Generation Fighting Knife model. The Ka-Bar USMC model was used as standard equipment by the US Navy during World War II, and soldiers used these knives not only as weapons but also as tools that helped them in other activities.
Ka-bar knives were also used in the army in conflicts in Vietnam, Korea, and Iraq during Operation Desert Storm, and many have found fans among tourists and bushcraft enthusiasts.
The Drop Point BK16 is the result of ongoing collaboration between knife designer Ethan Becker and KA-BAR. It is a solidly designed, versatile knife. The blade is made of carbon steel 1095, which is not stainless, but it is well protected against corrosion and scratches by a black, matte coating. The handle is made of Zytel material, black in color.
The included sheath is made of nylon with a plastic insert and is compatible with the MOLLE system. On the front of the sheath, there is an additional space where you can, for example, insert a firestarter. This knife comes with black handles, but there is also an extra set of brown handles in the box, so you can choose how to combine them.
