Product Description
The Santoku knife is a versatile kitchen knife that originates from Japan. In translation, Santoku means "three virtues" - it excels at slicing, dicing, and mincing meat, vegetables, and fish.
The blade has a straight edge and a blunt back that runs parallel to the edge and then curves downward towards the tip. This blade pattern was originally designed for cutting tasks where a sharp point could lead to unwanted piercing or puncturing.
The blade of the knives from the Dellinger Samurai series is made of a VG10 Damascus steel core with a hardness of 61+/-1 Rockwell, which is sandwiched between 66 layers of two different stainless steels of different hardnesses, ensuring exceptional durability and resilience. The blade displays the individual layers, creating a unique, iridescent Damascus pattern called TINY WAVE, resembling the turbulent sea. This pattern minimizes friction during cutting and prevents materials from sticking to the blade.
The handle is made of G-10 material and is embellished with a central mosaic pin featuring a samurai emblem. The G-10 material is highly attractive and in high demand. The handles are designed to fit perfectly in the hand and provide maximum comfort during work. This ensures maximum control and precision. They have a specially designed guard shape for an Asian grip on the knife.
